2010 Ford Ranger gets “Roll Stability Control” in standard equipment

More safety features and better fuel economyToday Ford announced details about the 2010 Ford Ranger. From this summer the Ranger will get the AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control) – that helps prevent skidding and dangerous rollover conditions on all models as a standard equipment.

The system uses gyroscopic roll sensor that determines both the vehicle’s body roll angle and roll rate.

If the car is about to roll the system automatically reduces engine power and/or applies brakes to one or more wheels.

Other standard safety features include a new combination side air bags, that are designed for head and torso protection.

With the 2.3-liter I-4 engine the rangers gets 26 mpg on the highway and keeps its throne as theAmerica’s most fuel-efficient pickup.
